Who I Am

I’m Keegan Vance, a fashion designer specializing in custom eveningwear, bridal, and editorial creations. My work is rooted in precision, innovation, and luxury—crafting garments that not only dress the body, but tell stories of identity, transformation, and resilience.

My Journey

Growing up, I had an eye for style but was afraid to shine my true light. I came from a broken household, where love and chaos collided constantly. Watching that unfold taught me resilience, independence, and the determination to create something better for myself. Soccer became my outlet—I played from age four until I graduated high school in 2021. The sport instilled in me strength, discipline, and confidence, all qualities I now bring into every aspect of my design practice.

After high school, I was given the opportunity to continue playing soccer in Europe. But I realized I was living my life for everyone but myself. Coming out of the closet was a turning point—I finally chose to explore what it meant to live authentically as Keegan Vance. Clothing became my armor and my liberation. Nothing I found fit me the way I felt on the inside, so I sat down at a sewing machine and began to create for myself. What started as chaos soon grew into purpose.

In 2022, I applied to the ASU FIDM program, where I’ve been able to hone both my artistry and technical expertise. From digital pattern-making to couture construction, my education has given me the tools to turn vision into reality. Since then, I’ve presented over 30 original looks across five established local fashion shows and will graduate in Spring 2026. My work has been recognized through the Solstiss Lace Award, featured at House of Holmes Apparel & Manufacturing, and will be highlighted in Mosaic Magazine’s First-Ever January 2026 issue.

My Design Philosophy

Every garment begins with a story. Whether rooted in historical references or inspired by modern queer love stories, my work transforms concepts into wearable art. I believe fashion should be bold yet intentional, experimental yet timeless—and always designed to empower the wearer.
